150 years young

South Melbourne and the Sydney Swans celebrated its 150th birthday on Wednesday. It was June 19, 1874 when the club received its birthright at Temperance Hall in South Melbourne before moving to the harbour city in 1982.

A celebration was held at Sydney Swans HQ on Wednesday to mark occasion, with premiership players including Jude Bolton, Nick Smith, Ryan O'Keefe and Heath Grundy in attendance.

Fox extends

Robbie Fox has re-signed with the club for another season, tying him to the red and white until at least the end of 2025.

Originally rookie-listed in November 2016, Fox has gone on to play 96 games for the Sydney Swans after beginning his football journey in Tasmania. The 31-year-old is known for his elite running ability and versatility, with the ability to play in the midfield, forward and defence.
