The Sydney Swans can advise the following changes to the playing list for the 2016 season.

Senior listed player Harry Marsh has been delisted, however, the club will endeavour to re-draft Marsh through the Rookie Draft if he is still available.

Marsh was recruited with pick 44 in the 2012 AFL Draft from East Fremantle. He is yet to debut at senior level.

Rookie listed players Lloyd Perris and Sean McLaren have also both been delisted.

During the trade period, Lewis Jetta was traded to West Coast and Craig Bird to Essendon.

These changes follow the retirements of Adam Goodes, Rhyce Shaw and Mike Pyke.

New to the team in 2016 are Callum Sinclair from West Coast and Michael Talia from the Western Bulldogs whilst the club strengthened its draft position by accruing an additional 235 points to use towards potential QBE Sydney Swans Academy and/or father-son prospects at next month’s Draft.

The Swans will enter next month’s AFL Draft with picks 33, 36, 37, 44, 54, 69, 72, 90 and 108 – with one of those picks to be used to upgrade rookie Sam Naismith onto the senior list.

Nic Newman, Jordan Foote and Lewis Melican will remain on the rookie list in 2016.

Sydney Swans General Manager of Football, Tom Harley, wished to thank the departing players for their contribution to the club.

“We’d like to thank all players for their outstanding commitment and dedication on and off the field whilst at the Swans,” Harley said.

“We wish them all of the best for the future.”
