Before jet-setting north for this week's pre-season training camp in Coffs Harbour, the Sydney Swans welcomed some very special guests to the SCG.

For the very first time, the Maasai Cricket Warriors set foot on the famous venue which was a "dream come true" for all members of the visitors.

Bare chested and dressed in their traditional tribal attire, the Maasai showed some Sydney Swans players (past and present) a thing or two about cricket before the Swans returned the favour, bringing out the AFL footballs and showing the Kenyan tribesmen the basics of our great game.

It was a beautiful display of sportsmanship under the great Members Stand and of two cultures coming together to form one united front.

And it was all captured by Sydney Swans Media.

One of the tribemen brought along a Go-Pro to capture the experience from a different angle.

 Textbook defence...

 Textbook pose...

The Maasai break into a traditional jumping dance, much to the awe of Swans defender Nick Smith.

Ready for the first ball...

 Got him!

 Eyes on the prize.

Unconventional but not bad for a first try.

Selfie time!

 What a day!
