Veteran defender Heath Grundy has been named to return to the senior side for Saturday night’s crucial match against Hawthorn at the SCG.
The Swans have made just one change to the side that defeated Greater Western Sydney with Robbie Fox (omitted) making way for Grundy.
Coach John Longmire said it was pleasing to see the experienced defender back in the side.
“Heath played well in our reserves last week to get himself going again which was good,” Longmire said.
“Obviously he is an experienced player in our defensive half so it is really good to have him back in the team.”
Lance Franklin has proven his fitness on the training track this week and has been named to take on his the Hawks.
“As we expected all week he has been able to get better and better each day so obviously we were going to give him every chance to play,” Longmire said.
“Knowing Lance he is certainly determined to play so at the moment he is tracking OK.”
