Isaac Heeney has become a crowd favourite since he was plucked from the 2014 AFL Draft. The QBE Sydney Swans Academy graduate won the 2018 AFL Mark of the Year award, was selected in the AFL Players’ Association’s 22Under22 team in two of his eligible four years and in 2022 was presented with his life membership after playing 150 games for the Swans - the first Academy graduate to do so. The dynamic athlete has played many different roles for the Swans - in the midfield, forward line, or a loose man in defence. 2024 saw career-best form for Heeney, averaging 25 disposals and almost two goals per game in the midfield. He polled 28 votes in the Brownlow Medal and capped off the year named Club Champion, the Paul Kelly Player’s Player and Paul Roos Best Player in Finals.
