Audience Strategy & Insights Manager Harry Hoysted has been named the Dean Moore Award winner for 2025. The news was announced at the club's annual AFLW Club Champion dinner, presented by QBE Insurance, last Friday night.
Speaking to Sydney Swans Media, Hoysted said he felt humbled by the recognition.
"I feel incredibly honoured. I've been so supported and have learned so much from my peers, so to be acknowledged by them - and know that what I do is having a positive impact in return, is very humbling," he shared.
Hoysted join the club as a data analyst in 2023, before being promoted to Audience Strategy & Insights Manager in 2025. He supports several key areas including membership, ticketing, finance and general audience analytics. Hoysted worked at Westpac for three years before joining the club's commercial department.
Upon his nomination in June, Executive General Manager of Consumer & Product, Natalie Fagg, praised Hoysted for his dedication to the role.
"A brilliant communicator with a quick wit, Harry is wonderfully generous with his knowledge," she told Sydney Swans Media.
"He not only shares analysis and information but also teaches his peers and builds the skill sets of others with humility and care. He makes us all better, and there's no greater compliment for a teammate."
Hoysted echoed this notion.
"There are so many [rewarding aspects] to choose from - whether it's seeing a home match day come to life, making special moments for our members, or riding the highs and lows of a footy season," he said.
"But the most rewarding part of working at the Swans is undoubtedly the people. To be surrounded by people who are not only really talented but also genuinely caring and supportive is a real privilege."
The Dean Moore Award was established in April 2024 to recognise a Sydney Swans staff member who has best embodied the club’s values. A staff member is peer nominated each quarter.
Dean Moore – whom the award is named after – served as the club’s team manager in the late 1970s and managed the logistics of South Melbourne’s move to Sydney in 1981. After a stint with the then VFL, Moore returned to Sydney to replace Andrew Ireland as General Manager – Football at the end of the 2009 season.
Hoysted follows Emily Chandler who was awarded the honour in its inaugural year.
