Small forward Tom Papley has been elevated to the Sydney Swans' senior list ahead of Saturday night’s clash against Collingwood.
Papley showed strong form throughout the NAB Challenge, playing an important role as a pressure forward and goalkicker in the club’s forward set up.
General Manager of Football Tom Harley said the 19-year-old had earned his upgrade to the senior list.
“Currently we have two players on the long-term injury list which has provided us an opportunity to upgrade a rookie,” Harley said.
“Tom has had a really strong pre-season after missing the first game against Port Adelaide he played very well in the next two matches.”
“Since Tom has arrived he has worked hard at training and has made a really good impression.”
Papley has been upgraded in place of Gary Rohan who was previously on the Club’s long-term injury list.
