The Sydney Swans have signed versatile utility Jasmine Grierson as a Delisted Free Agent for the 2025 season.

26-year old Grierson was drafted to Melbourne in the 2016 AFLW Draft and has gone on to play 61 AFLW games for Melbourne, North Melbourne and GWS in a career already spanning nine seasons at the top level.

AFLW Senior Coach Scott Gowans will reconnect with Grierson having coached her previously and he said she will add valuable experience to the Swans list.

“Having coached Jas previously as a junior at the Dandenong Stingrays and at AFLW level at North Melbourne, I have always rated her ball use and ability to make good decisions under pressure,” Gowans said.

“Jas will add composure to our backline and experience to our squad.”

Grierson will also re-connect with former GWS teammates Bec Privitelli and AFLW line coach Tanya Hetherington, the pair joining Sydney in 2022 and 2023 respectively.

Grierson joins midfielder/forward Darcy Moloney as a new face at the Swans for 2025 with the former Cat arriving at the club in a trade with Geelong last week.

The AFLW trade period opened on December 5 and closes on December 11 ahead of the 2024 Telstra AFLW Draft which will take place in Melbourne on December 16.
