Despite starting the season 0-3, Richmond is never an easy proposition at the MCG.
Coming off a 30-point loss to Port Adelaide at the venue, the Tigers will go into this weekend’s clash with the Swans with some confidence, having tested the Power for most of the match.
Shai Bolton was outstanding for the yellow and black, especially in the second quarter when the Tigers got out to a 17-point lead and looked the better side.
In the end the Power’s experience and size proved too much for Richmond, kicking away in the final term, but by no means were the home side disgraced.
Liam Baker booted three goals for the Tigers while Rhyan Mansell and Bolton both kicked two.
Maurice Rioli Jr was a late withdrawal after hurting his back in the warm up so expect him to return against the Swans on Easter Sunday, while Nathan Broad is change to return from his calf injury.
The last time the Swans took on the Tigers at the MCG was in Round 17 last season when Richmond prevailed by 13 points in front of 48,433 fans.
In that match Jack Graham kicked two last quarter goals to drag the home side over the line, while Ollie Florent was best for the visitors.
Tigers coach Adem Yze, speaking on Good Friday, ruled superstar Dustin Martin out with a calf injury.
"He didn't train the other day and he'll only do a little bit today, so we've got to just break the pattern of him getting through week to week,” Yze said.
"We're going to break that cycle this week and give him a lighter week so that he's pain-free."
First bounce on Sunday afternoon is at 4.00pm at the MCG.
