Big forward Jesse White has been added to the side to take on Fremantle at the SCG on Sunday after Matt Spangher was ruled out with a hamstring injury.

White missed last week’s game against Gold Coast but will line up in attack as the Swans take on seventh-placed Fremantle in a cut-throat match at home.

It’s a blow for Spangher, who played his first game for the Swans last weekend and was impressive on debut, providing spark in the forward line.

Craig Bird, who was a late withdrawal last week with knee soreness, will resume his place, and Jarred Moore, who was the substitute against the Gold Coast, has been omitted, and named as an emergency along with Trent Dennis-Lane and Nathan Gordon.

Young Swan Dan Hannebery said earlier this week that Sunday’s game was a “massive’’ one for the team as they try to cement a finals spot.

“It’s sixth versus seventh, which speaks for itself in terms of how important it is,” he said.

“If we want to be really competitive for this next part of the year and to make sure we play finals, this game is it. Everything is on the line against Freo.’’
