The four moments from August 2021 are:
- Sydney Swans AFLW - It's Game On for 2022 - It’s Game On for the Sydney Swans entry into the AFLW competition, with the AFL Commission granting the club a licence for entry into Season 7, commencing in late 2022.
- Swans wear inaugural Pride Guernsey v St Kilda - The Sydney Swans wore their inaugural Pride guernsey when they faced St Kilda in Round 21. It was the first time the club wore a specially designed Pride guernsey for the game, which has been an annual fixture on the AFL calendar between Sydney and St.Kilda since 2016.
- Swans return to the finals in front of sell out in Tasmania – After two seasons of not featuring past the regular home and away season, the Sydney Swans returned to the finals in 2021 and played in front of a sell out Tasmanian crowd. The Swans finished the regular season in sixth place with 15 wins, a huge improvement on the five wins from season 2020, and statistically, one of the very best in club history. Unfortunately, a 1-point defeat in the Elimination Final v GWS saw the Swans 2021 campaign come to an end.
- Papley named in All Australian team - Tom Papley was selected in the 2021 AFL All Australian Team with the small forward included in the team for the first time in his career. In 2021, he was the only Swan to be included in the final team for the season. Papley had a remarkable year in 2021, playing 22 games during the regular season and kicking 41 goals.
