Vice-captain Luke Parker is wary of an ‘up and about’ St Kilda side heading into Saturday afternoon’s match.

St Kilda is one of the competition's form sides, having climbed to sixth position on the ladder after eight rounds courtesy of three-straight wins.

The Swans have won their last six against St Kilda, eight of the last nine, the last coming in Round 21 at Docklands last season when the visitors slammed on 15 goals to four in the second half to run away with a 70-point win.

Parker is confident his side is building the confidence they need to bank their third win of the season on the weekend.

“They are another really good side at the moment who are right up and about,” Parker said.

“As you see it doesn’t matter who you are playing, if you don’t come ready to play you are going to get rolled.

“We know that we can’t get ahead of ourselves as we only have two wins so the main thing is we take some confidence (from the past two weeks) and we know what kind of footy stands up.”

Kurt Tippett and Gary Rohan both booted four goals in the NEAFL Swans' big win over Canberra last weekend to push their claims for a senior recall.

Parker believes having quality players in Rohan and Tippett banging down the door is only a positive.

“It is great to see the depth that we have coming through the reserves,” Parker said.

“It is going to be a difficult job for the coaching staff this week, but we know whoever comes into the side can do the job.”

Jarrad McVeigh (hamstring) and Kieren Jack (hip) have already been ruled out of this weekend’s clash against the Saints.
