Everyone associated with the Sydney Swans extend their condolences to the family of the great Alan Davidson on his passing.

While the code that he had played was rugby league he had a strong interest in the Swans (as did his close friend and colleague Richie Benaud).

In 1995 he accepted the role of a Swans Ambassador.

Apart from his extraordinary on field achievements he had a firm belief while the objective was to win it should never be to the detriment of the rules but significantly the spirit of the game. Or sport in general.
