The round four match will mark the club’s first home game at the SCG this season, and will see the newly redeveloped northern grand stand available to Swans fans for the first time in since round 23, 2011.
Malceski, who collected 25 possessions in the club’s 63-point win over the Crows, said the Swans hoped to see a huge Sydney crowd fill the stands at Sunday’s game.
“It wouldn’t have been good if we were 0-3, so our win over in Adelaide was really good,” he said.
“It was good to get the win, especially in front of 50,000 of their fans and it was good to see a few of our fans there too.
“Hopefully we can get a few out to the North Melbourne game this weekend at the SCG.”
The Swans boast a strong record at the SCG having won seven of their last nine games at the iconic Sydney venue.
The club also holds an impressive record over the Roos in recent years, with the Swans winning their last seven encounters against North Melbourne, including three at the SCG.
Malceski said a big presence in the stands could give the team an even bigger home ground advantage against North this weekend.
“To have the crowd get around us in games is really good,” he said.
“The SCG is our fortress and when the crowd is going it gets us going, which is positive.”
The Swans face an in-form North Melbourne side, who overran Port Adelaide in the final term at Etihad Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
Malceski said both sides would enter this week’s match with confidence after finishing their respective games strongly last round.
“North Melbourne are going well and they’re improving and they are similar to us in that we lost our first couple but won last week,” he said.
“We’ve just got to keep improving each week because that’s what they’re trying to do, so it’s going to be a tough game.
“They had a good finish and we did the same against Adelaide on Saturday, so it should be a good game and hopefully our fans enjoy it.”
This weekend’s match will also celebrate the exceptional career of dual premiership player, Jude Bolton, who will complete a lap of honour prior to the match at 12:40pm.
“I’ll probably be doing my warm-up during Jude’s lap, but I’ll catch up with him after the game,” Malceski said.
