The Sydney Swans are confident of getting trades done for Gary Rohan and Dan Hannebery after both players requested a trade back to Victoria.

The Club will also decide in the next couple of days whether it wants to pursue out-of-contract Collingwood swingman Darcy Moore.

Head of Football Tom Harley told AFL Trade Radio on Tuesday his club hadn't decided whether it would make a serious attempt to land the 22-year-old.

"We were on the record at the mid-point of the year saying that through his manager Liam Pickering we had some initial discussions," Harley said.

"We haven't progressed anything too far.

"We'll make a decision probably today or tomorrow as to whether we want to progress that, but at this stage, there's nothing to report on that front," Harley said.

Speedster Gary Rohan has also requested a trade to return home to Victoria.

"We're confident that we can make that work. That's the human side of football, isn't it," Harley said.

"Gary and his wife Amie have had some clear challenges and if we can provide an opportunity for them to move back closer to family support so then Gary can play some good footy, then we'll look to do that.

"Clearly Gary's personal circumstances are well told and well known. I think you take that into consideration.

"You also take into consideration what's best for your footy club and what Geelong might be able to offer up in return."

Midfielder Dan Hannebery has also requested a trade home with his prefered club being St Kilda.

Harley said he was confident both parties would be able to reach a deal once trade period commenced next week.

“We have a view on that (what he is worth), we are not going to play that our publicly and St Kilda must have a view on that as well given they have approached him and offered him a long term contract," Harley said.

“We will work through it, we are confident something will get done but we will have to work with both parties.
