The Sydney Swans VFL side to face the Footscray Bulldogs at Whitten Oval this Friday March 25 in the season opening fixture has been named.
Sydney Swans VFL Head Coach Jeremy Laidler has named a side which includes a host of Sydney Swans listed players including Ryan Clarke, Colin O'Riordan, Will Gould, Lewis Taylor, Callum Sinclair, Joel Amartey, James Bell, Ben Ronke, Robbie Fox, Marc Sheather and Lewis Melican.
The experience of the senior players will be matched by some new and exciting talent coming through the ranks with 2022 draftees Matt Roberts, Corey Warner and Lachlan Rankin all set to play their first VFL game alongside tall timbers Peter Ladhams and Lachlan McAndrew who will also feature in the side.
After a Covid-interrupted first season in the new-look VFL competition, the Swans will be looking to build on the games they were able to play last season.
The match kicks off at 4:35pm.
