The Sydney Swans have made two changes to the team, ahead of their Round 8 fixture against Gold Coast Suns at the SCG on Saturday afternoon.

Harry Cunningham and Sam Reid will make way for Logan McDonald and Paddy McCartin, who both return after they were sidelined due to the AFL’s concussion protocols.

“Obviously Paddy was playing an important role for us down back before he missed last week, he can play on talls and smalls,” said Senior Coach John Longmire.

“Logan gives us another forward option and an ability to be able to hit the scoreboard. They’re both at either end, and they’re both important for us.

The Swans will look to bounce back from their loss to the Brisbane Lions, in a game that Longmire says was a good test for his side.

“After half time we felt we fought our way right back into the game and got within five points. We’re learning lessons all the time, and we know what the Suns can do. We’ve played them at their best and they’re a formidable opponent. The Suns play a really good forward half brand of footy, we’ve been looking at them intently all week.”

“It’ll be great to be back at the SCG on Saturday afternoon and get a big crowd here. We’re really looking forward to it. As we celebrate the 2012 reunion, it will be great to have those boys in the crowd and it’s an important day for the club.”
