In this week's video edition of Dan's Diary, Dan catches up with Nick Smith before they both play their 50th game for the club against the Brisbane Lions at the SCG tomorrow.

Nick was elevated from the rookie list in 2008 and made his debut against Geelong in Geelong in round 5 of the same year. Since then, he has built up to become one of the Swans most consistent players, regularly shutting down the opposition's most dangerous small forward - such as last week's job on Geelong's Steve Johnson.

Dan was drafted as the number 30 overall pick in the 2008 AFL Draft and made his debut for the Swans against Carlton in round 16, 2009. After playing seven games while still at school in his first year, Dan played 21 games in 2010 and won the AFL Rising Star award and picked up nine Brownlow Medal votes in an outstanding year. By his own admission, he had a quiet start to 2011, but has averaged nearly 25 disposals per game since round 13.

In the above video, Dan and Nick both talk about their debuts for the Swans and some of their fondest memories in their 49 games since then.
