Sydney defender Callum Mills and forward Lance Franklin have made AFL.com.au's Round 3 Team of the Week for impressive showings in the Swans’ win over the Giants on Saturday.

Mills collected 26 disposals and six marks to win the Brett Kirk Medal for best on ground at the SCG.

The 21-year-old lines up alongside Richmond’s David Astbury and Fremantle’s Alex Pearce in Team of the Week’s last line of defence.

Franklin booted two goals to seal the Sydney Derby win and applied outstanding tackling pressure.

The four-time Coleman Medallist joins Port Adelaide’s Sam Gray and the Western Bulldogs’ Toby McLean in the side’s front three.

It’s also the second time in three rounds Franklin has made the Team of the Week as he made the cut after Sydney’s opening-round win over West Coast in Perth.
