Coach John Longmire spoke to media after Sydney's Round 14 loss to Port Adelaide on Saturday afternoon.
Here's some of the key quotes. You can also watch the full press conference below.
On Port's pressure
Just those blocks of goals, they scored too easily. Their pressure was elite, particularly their tackle pressure inside forward 50. To their credit they put enormous pressure on us and we turned the ball over coming out of our back half.
That's the sort of pressure you get in big games and from Port Adelaide. If you look at their record, 5-2 since Round 6, we were under no illusions coming here that their record actually has been really good despite their spot on the ladder.
On Pete Ladhams and the free kicks he gave away
I haven't spoken to him yet. There's no point talking about it now, he will learn from that 10-minute block.
On not converting in the second and Port's third quarter
That really hurt us, 2.7 in the second quarter. Then they come out and kick 6.2 in the first 15 minutes of the third. We had our chances in that second quarter to get a good buffer but we weren't able to convert. It was about our shots but also our entries, we didn't get those right. We weren't disciplined with free kicks against us which cost us a couple of goals and our ability to get the exits right in that 15 minute period.
On Isaac Heeney (who kicked 4 goals)
He was a danger up forward, he was able to hit the scoreboard from different spots and was someone who was really dangerous and provided a real avenue for us. We ended up having virtually the same amount of inside 50s (47 to 46) and he was important up there for us.
