The Sydney Swans have made three changes to their side to take on Carlton at Marvel Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Jackson Thurlow, Tom McCartin and Jordan Dawson have been added to the side to replace Ryan Clarke, Lewis Melican and Colin O’Riordan who have all been omitted from the side that lost to Adelaide last Friday night.
Thurlow will play his first game for the club since making the move to the Swans during the trade period.
“It has been good to get Jacko back in the team, he played a bit for us in the pre-season and has been good for us since he arrived at the Club,” coach John Longmire told QBE Team Selection.
“We know he has had some experience at playing down back and on the wing.
“He gets his chance to play his first game for our club this week and we are really looking forward to it.”
McCartin returns to the side for his first game of the season after recovering from a scare when he was cleared of major damage to an artery in his neck.
“It is great to get Tommy back, he has played the last couple of weeks in our reserves and he played well again on the weekend,” Longmire said.
“He was super in terms of his efforts at the contest which is what we know he can bring to the team.”
