Our inaugural AFLW team has one late inclusion after the decision was made to place Montana Beruldsen on the inactive list for the upcoming season.
Beruldsen has been battling a knee injury and has managed to complete just two weeks of the pre-season.
She will be replaced on the list by home-grown Sydney ruck Kate Reynolds.
The news is an early-birthday present for the North Shore Bombers athlete, who turns 25 on Sunday.
Sydney Swans Executive GM – AFLW Kate Mahony said while it’s disappointing news for Montana it’s the right decision to ensure she can return to play.
“This is obviously a difficult decision for Montana however there is a clear understanding that this is the best decision to allow her to make a full recovery,” Mahony said.
“We’re really excited to welcome Kate to our team. She has impressed us with her tap work across the summer and winter series, and as a train-on with our team this year.
“It’s a big week for the club and we can’t wait to see our team run out at North Sydney Oval on Saturday.”
FIRST only happens once so be there for our history making game against St Kilda. TICKETS
