Sydney Swans trio Kurt Tippett, Dan Hannebery and Nick Smith are all expected to be available for Friday night’s qualifying final against Hawthorn at the MCG.

Hannebery and Smith missed last Friday’s round 23 clash with the Hawks with minor knee injuries, while Tippett was a late withdrawal from the match with hamstring tightness.

Club physiotherapist Matt Cameron said Tippett, Hannebery and Smith would all train this week and should be available for the Swans’ first final on Friday.

“Kurt had a bit of hammy tightness and we just felt it wasn’t worth the risk in that game,” Cameron told SwansTV.

“Dan Hannebery had a knock in the Geelong game and had some bone bruising in his knee and we’ve needed to keep him off running to give him as much time as possible to recover.

“He had a run yesterday and he’s due to do some team training tomorrow.

“Nick Smith also had a knock on the knee but he’s recovered quite quickly and was able to do some training on the weekend and on Monday, so he’s looking right to go.”

Swans defender Nick Malceski has also pulled up well from a toe injury in last Friday night’s match.

Cameron said Malceski, who was subbed out of the game in the final quarter, took part in the team’s training session on Monday and would also be available for Friday night’s match.

“In the third quarter he jarred his big toe, and it’s quite an important joint, so we wanted to take a cautious route and so we subbed him out of the game,” he said.

Lewis Jetta, who played his first game in almost three months for the Swans reserves on Saturday, has also recovered well from his first hit out, while Adam Goodes is likely to begin training this weekend after a successful week on the track.

“He’s improved a lot on the last week,” Cameron said about Goodes’ recovery from a knee injury.

“He was able to run pretty quickly on Monday and we are planning on doing some training this weekend, where he should be able to join the rest of the team.”

Lewis Roberts-Thomson will also train with the team this week, while Swans forward Sam Reid is yet to resume his program after suffering another setback with his injured quad last week.
