If you’ve ever wanted to represent the Swans, now’s your chance. We’ve teamed up with Australian Red Cross Lifeblood to create our own blood donation team: Lifeblood of the Swans, and we need you.

To join our Lifeblood Team, simply:

  1. Create a blood donor account via the Lifeblood website
  2. Once registered, go to ‘Teams’, choose ‘My Teams’ and search for the Lifeblood of the Swans team
  3. Book your first donation and start kicking goals for life!

If you’re unable to donate, there’s still plenty of other ways to get involved. Sign up to become a Swans Lifeblood Champion and help us recruit more superstar donors by flying the flag for blood donation.

Did you know, 1 in 3 of us will need blood in our lifetime? From the players on the field to the fans in the stands, any one of us could become a blood recipient. Blood, plasma and platelet donations play a vital role in treating countless life-threatening conditions like cancer, kidney disease and anaemia. We can’t cure these diseases, but we can make sure the doctors and medical professionals have the life-saving blood they need to help people every day!

Lifeblood of the Swans is a way for us to get together, support our community and do our bit for the rest of Australia. Giving blood is one of the most rewarding things you can do, and if you do it with your club you can donate with your mates and maybe even a few Swans greats! Most importantly you’ll be giving life to those in our community who need it most – just ask Cooper Smeaton, Swans faithful, cancer survivor and blood recipient.

We’re excited to announce the new Lifeblood donor centre within Sydney Swans HQ is now open! The centre is the first Australian blood donor centre located in a sporting complex, come visit us soon!
