Sydney Swans VFL coach Damian Truslove has confirmed his side to take on Casey Demons this Sunday at Casey Fields, with the red and white looking to post their first victory of 2023.
Angus Sheldrick (28 disposals and five tackles) and Hugo Hall-Kahan (21 disposals and one goal) have again been named following standout individual performances last week, while Hayden McLean will be a welcome addition after dropping back from the AFL side.
Lewis Melican and Jake Veale have been ruled out with injury, while Caleb Mitchell is also sidelined with illness and will be replaced by Tom Howard.
The Swans will be out to avenge their opening round defeat to Box Hill last Sunday, although can take confidence from their efforts throughout the opening three quarters.
They impressed with their tackle pressure from start to finish, although were made to rue some missed opportunities that ultimately paved the way for Box Hill's 27-point win.
They will now take on reigning premier Casey Demons, who commenced their title defence in fine style with a 37-point win over Footscray Bulldogs.
All matches in the 2023 Smithy’s VFL and rebel VFLW seasons will be live streamed free via the AFL website, AFL Live Official App and VFL App.
