Several QBE Sydney Swans Academy teams are in action this weekend in Ballarat and Brisbane.
The U18 boys continue their Coates Talent League season, facing the GWV Rebels on the back of a 27-point win against the Western Jets last week.
The team's win last round was highlighted by forward tackling pressure and a 8-goal final quarter but the team will be looking for a more accurate week in front of goals after kicking 17 behinds in the match.
Caleb May will look to build on his game in the ruck after he played some minutes for the first-time last week and both him and Harry Podmore Taylor will form a good partnership with the likes of Indhi Kirk, Caiden Cleary, Lachie Cabor and Joe Harrison.
The forward line looked dangerous when the ball came in quick with Tye Gander, James Lugsdin, Max Rider and Cooper McClennan all looking dangerous in the air and on the ground.
It will be a very big test for the QBE Swans Academy as the Rebels will be very hard to beat on their home turf.
Our U16 teams will also be in action, with both boys and girls teams travelling to Brisbane to face the Lions Academy in the Northern Academy Series.
It’s a great opportunity for our U16 squads to play the Brisbane Lions and there will be plenty of exciting, young on display for both sides as we look for future players progressing through the Academy pathway.
The girls game starts at 10.15am followed by the boys at 12.10pm. All matches will be live streamed and links to each game and team lists can be found below.
