After a strong start to the 2016 season, a shoulder injury left a bitter taste in the mouth of Dan Robinson.
An impressive pre-season campaign saw Robinson storm into Round 1 contention as he cemented a spot in the season opener against Collingwood.
Robinson played an important role across half forward in the win over Collingwood collecting 17 disposals in just his fith AFL game.
The 22-year-old played the first seven matches of the season before he dislocated his shoulder against Essendon.
Robinson returned to football late in the season during the NEAFL finals campaign but was unable to break into the side for the AFL finals series.
Full recovered from his shoulder concerns, Robinson will be looking for a big pre-season to propel himself into contention for the season opener against Port Adelaide in 2017.
In his own words
“The first half of the year I was really pleased with as I played some consistent senior footy and then the second half of the year with my shoulder injury was pretty disappointing. It was still good to be able to get back towards the end of the season to play a couple of games.” Dan Robinson on SwansTV
