FEW Sydney Swans fans will forget the last time the Swans met Carlton.

It was the gripping 2010 elimination final at ANZ Stadium, with the Swans running out eventual five-point winners.

As Adam Goodes recalls in this interview with SwansTV, despite the Swans holding a comfortable four goal half time lead, an amazing third quarter by Carlton captain Chris Judd swung the momentum of the game dramatically in favour of the Blues.

“I thought we had the measure of the Blue boys at half time and I thought we were going to kick away with it in the second half,” Goodes recalled.

“But one bloke had other things on his mind…watching Chris Judd just turn the game in the third quarter was quite impressive and it took a mighty effort from us as a team to really fight back and get the result."

That fight back included a three goal to one final term from the Swans, highlighted by a memorable effort from Trent Dennis-Lane in the dying minutes. Josh Kennedy’s shut down role on Judd in the final term was instrumental in the Swans win.
