The Sydney Swans proudly supports the GO Foundation, established by Swans greats Adam Goodes and Michael O’Loughlin to empower youth through education.

The GO Foundation is our match-day partner for Friday night’s Marn Grook at the SCG, which will see our team run out in a guernsey designed by GO scholar Lua Pellegrini.

GO provides education scholarships to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students from primary school through to university, with 94% of scholarships awarded to students in public schools.

GO’s program is holistic with a focus on culture and education, to help the young people engaged in the program reach their full potential.

Culture is at the heart of everything GO does. The Foundation focuses on building resilience, inspiration, and confidence as well as supporting young people in considering different pathways.

Students receive financial support to purchase the resources they need, such as uniforms, laptops, wi-fi access at home, tutoring, musical instruments, or school excursions.

In 2023, GO awarded 609 scholarships, the largest scholarship intake so far, and they passed a big milestone having awarded over 1200 scholarships in total.

The Foundation has a focus on providing scholarships for girls at a ratio of 60/40, recognising the important and powerful role women play in families and communities to ensure that Indigenous girls thrive.

The GO Foundation is an Aboriginal led and governed organisation.

You can make a powerful difference by donating to GO to help them empower children and young people through education.
