Head of Physiotherapy and Medical Services Damian Raper provided an update on the injury list ahead of Round 15 against the West Coast Eagles. presented by Castlereagh Imaging.

Two disappointing losses for the AFL and VFL teams against Brisbane Lions on the weekend. In the AFL game, Nick Blakey had a collision with the goal post in the third quarter between return to the game without concern. In the VFL match, Lachlan Rankin and Cooper Vickery failed to finish the game due to shoulder and foot injuries respectively. They will be assessed by the medical team and have imaging completed this week.

Lance Franklin

Lance sustained some knee swelling following the main training session on Wednesday. As a result, he was withdrawn from the match against Brisbane. His knee pain has settled over the weekend and we expect him to test his availability in training this week.

Isaac Heeney

Isaac is progressing his rehabilitation following his concussion injury against St Kilda. He will continue to be managed as per the AFL Concussion Guidelines.

Callum Mills

Callum’s recommenced team training last week as a part of his calf strain rehabilitation. He is expected to train fully this week and be a test to return to play this weekend.

Tom McCartin

Tom’s has completed a block of conditioning training and commenced training with the main training group last week. He will be a test to return to play this weekend.

Logan McDonald

Logan’s rehabilitation from his medial ankle ligament injury continues to accelerate. He is completing change of direction and sprint-based retraining, and we expect him to recommence team training this week.

Peter Ladhams

Peter’s is building his running volume and speed. He will look to commence change of direction work this week.

Matt Roberts 

Matt has been building his change of direction and aerobic conditioning running. He will begin skills based training this week.
