North Sydney Oval will be home for our first two games, starting Sunday, September 3 at North Sydney Oval against GWS, followed by a match against Geelong at the same venue in Round 2.
Our favourite ground in the Inner West, Henson Park, will also host three matches in 2023: Round 4 v West Coast, Round 7 v Hawthorn, and Round 9 v Collingwood. All three games are at family-friendly times.
The Round 9 game at Henson Park is a highlight of our fixture and will see plenty of rainbows as we celebrate our second women's Pride Game.
We know there are plenty of Sydney Swans members and fans around the country and you will also get your chance to see the team in action.
We play two matches in Victoria, including a Round 5 game against Carlton on AFL Grand Final eve, we venture to South Australia to face Port Adelaide in Round 6, and we play in Queensland and Western Australia for the first time, against Brisbane and Fremantle respectively.
Sydney Swans Executive General Manager - AFLW, Kate Mahony, says the club is excited by the opportunity to represent the red and white in five different states.
"The club is incredibly excited to finally have our games locked in for the entire season - the players have been working tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure they will do the Swans guernsey proud in 2023," Mahony said.
"We created some really special memories last year at North Sydney Oval, so to play our opening two games of the season there is a highlight, and hopefully we will see plenty of red and white at our three home games at Henson Park too.
"The players will embrace the opportunity to play in-front of our passionate members and fans in Victoria, while venturing to Queensland, South Australia, and Western Australia is something to look forward to.
"We're really pleased with how the playing group are developing throughout the pre-season, so we encourage all of our fans to join as member and cheer on the red and white in 2023."
There are plenty of familiar faces in our team this year with 26 players from our inaugural team returning for season 2023.
We are also really excited by our eight new players who have been welcomed to the club in the off-season, including Chloe Molloy, Lucy McEvoy, Laura Gardiner, Hayley Bullas, and promising Irish talents in Paris McCarthy, Jennifer Higgins, Julie O'Sullivan and Tanya Kennedy.
We achieved the highest AFLW membership tally across the league last year in just our first year in the competition, and as we look forward to doing it all again, we encourage you to support the team and join as a member in 2023.
