Two changes have been made ahead of Round 19 with Chad Warner and Jake Lloyd returning to the team. The Sydney Swans will travel to Perth this week for a match against Fremantle at Optus Stadium.

Senior coach John Longmire expressed the importance of bolstering the midfield and defensive line, telling Swans TV, "Fremantle have some dangerous small forwards."

Warner missed three weeks of AFL after sustaining a calf strain while Lloyd was ruled out of Round 18 after a head knock in the clash with Richmond.

“It’s good to have Lloyd back. He pulled up really well last week and was able to do all the training," Longmire said.

"Warner missed a couple of important games for us so he’ll get back into the midfield and gives us some more options."

The star midfielder replaces brother Corey Warner who played his third game for the senior side last week.

The red and white are coming off the back of a narrow win against the Western Bulldogs last week. It was a much-need boost in confidence, however Longmire says the team need to keep improving.

"We did a lot of things right last week but now it’s about what we do against the Dockers in Perth, which is one of the tougher challenges," he said.

It's the second time the two sides have faced off this season, with Fremantle nabbing a 17-point win at the SCG.
