The run home
Rd 23: Richmond (SCG)
If the Swans win:
- They will all but guarantee first or second place and play two finals at home, most likely at ANZ Stadium.
If they lose:
- Could drop out of the top four entirely if Adelaide, Geelong, Hawthorn and GWS all win.
Quick take: The Tigers got them in the final round of 2014, but that was at ANZ. The Tigers had more to play for and the Swans rested a few. There will be no repeat this time.

The coach says
“I think we can improve a bit on today’s performance and that’s what we’ll try to do next week and try to make sure we keep on sharpening up all areas of our game. You want to get to this point of the year with that in front of you, which is to be able to control your own destiny next week in the last game of the year at the SCG, and that’s what we’re going to try and do.” John Longmire - post match Rd 22, 2016
