Sydney Swans duo Chloe Molloy and Julie O’Sullivan have earnt respective Goal of the Year and Mark of the Year nominations following the AFLW season opening victory over the GWS Giants at North Sydney Oval on Sunday afternoon.
Co-captain Molloy impressed in her club debut, kicking two crucial goals in the five-point victory, including her second which put the red and white in front in the final quarter.
But it was her first effort, selling candy before bending it back through the posts for a major that earnt her nomination.

In her AFLW debut, Julie O’Sullivan earnt a Mark of the Year nomination for her effort in the final stages of the third quarter.
With the Giants looking to clear the ball from inside their own defensive half, the Irish debutant leaped over her opposition to take a securing grab and stop the opposition momentum. A composed effort in her first game to earn a Mark of the Year nomination.
Fans are invited to vote for their favourite goal and mark for their chance to win some great prizes.
Voting is now open with the major prize winner to be announced at the end of the 2023 NAB AFLW home and away season.
Swans teammate Ally Morphett was also rewarded in Round One for her stand out performance, earning a Rising Star Nomination.
