Senior coach Scott Gowans has named his side ahead of Sunday afternoon's match against the West Coast Eagles, with the team returning to Henson Park for the first time this season.

Paige Sheppard and Lauren Szigeti will replace Montana Beruldsen (omitted) and Montana Ham (foot) to bolster the midfield in what Gowans expects to be tough contest. 

"We wanted to bring a couple of midfielders into the equation. West Coast are very good in the contest so we wanted a backup plan," Gowans told Sydney Swans Media. 

"If we can’t get the game on our terms, we have a couple of extra mids spare that we can bring into the game.”

Midfielder Paris McCarthy has been named for a second week after making her debut against the Lions, and will once again join her Irish contingent in Tanya Kennedy and Julie O'Sullivan.

The red and white secured a historic first win in Round 1 over the GWS Giants before tough games against the Geelong Cats and Brisbane Lions. Gowans says a stronger first quarter effort will be required to win matches moving forward.

"We’ve been slow to start games and I think looking at the stats, since quarter time in each game with scoring shots against all oppositions.

"If we can fix up the first quarter we’re right in the mix."

Laura Gardiner will be one to watch after notching 41 disposals in Round 3 alongside Ally Morphett who was nominated for the Rising Star Award in Round 1.

This weekend we will also celebrate the Irish community in Sydney. Head to Henson Park on Sunday to cheer our Irish playing contingent and enjoy a day in the sunshine.
