Despite a 14-point loss to Hawthorn on the weekend, four Sydney Swans players earned coaches votes in Round 7. Laura Gardiner continued her near-perfect streak alongside Lucy McEvoy, Chloe Molloy and Alice Mitchell.

Gardiner retained second place on the AFL Coaches Association AFLW Champion Player of the Year leaderboard with six coaches votes. The midfielder, who continues to impress in her inaugural season with the Swans, dominated the stats in all but three categories and finished the match with 27 disposals, 13 contested possessions and eight tackles.

Lucy McEvoy, another star new to the squad, earned two votes for her efforts with 20 disposals. Meanwhile Chloe Molloy and Alice Mitchell nabbed one vote each with Molloy booting a much-needed goal.
