We’re proud to announce Bird in Hand has extended its partnership with our AFLW and AFL teams for the 2024 and 2025 seasons. Following a successful two-year collaboration with the AFLW program, the winery is expanding its support to encompass the men's competition, marking a significant milestone in the history of both organisations.

Since the partnership began in 2022, Bird in Hand has stood alongside the Sydney Swans AFLW team as it experienced remarkable growth and impressive achievements. From cheering on the historic first finals win in 2023 to witnessing record-breaking AFLW membership numbers, Bird in Hand has been a steadfast supporter of the team’s journey.

By prioritising its partnership with the AFLW, Bird in Hand reaffirms its commitment to promoting gender equality and supporting women's sports, simultaneously underscoring its commitment to the game’s growth.

Ahead of our Round 6 victory over Port Adelaide, our coaches and AFLW staff visited our partner and AFLW coaches sponsor Bird in Hand to enjoy their hospitality and learn some of the work behind their wine making, food and venue operations.
