The Sydney Swans will head to the MCG on Sunday, April 28 for their Round 7 clash with Hawthorn.

The final team to face Hawthorn at the MCG in Round 7 has been confirmed, with senior coach John Longmire confirming no changes to the line up that secured a 53-point victory over the Gold Coast Suns last week.

While it's good to have stability in the side, Longmire says the side will be striving for a more consistent performance against the Hawks line up who impressed in their 45-point victory over North Melbourne last week.

"It was good last week but we know we've got to go again this week. Our challenge is to put another good one together against the Hawks who played really well last week," Longmire said

"We played probably three quarters of good footy, we dropped away a little bit in the second quarter so we're still striving for that consistency.

"We know the opposition are going to get a run on at some point and play some good footy and I'm sure this week will be the same with that, but we've got to try and reduce those moments and keep concentrating on what we know works, get our defence and our pressure out right and really take it from there."

The red and white will celebrate two milestones this weekend, with 23-year-old midfielder James Rowbottom to play his 100th career game while defender Ollie Florent will play his 100th consecutive game. Rowbottom, who recently signed a four-year contract extension, was originally drafted with pick 25 in 2018, making his debut following year. Florent was recruited to the Swans with pick 11 in the 2016 draft and is on track to play his 150th career games in Round 8.

Experienced midfielder Luke Parker will make his return to the action for the first time in 2024 via the VFL, returning from a broken arm sustained in the side's pre-season match simulation.

"He's had a good week on the training track and we've obviously upped the training levels with him and he's felt comfortable so far with that," Longmire said.

"We'd like to be able to get some footy in the VFL if we can and it'll depend a bit on how he really pulls up from here. So if he pulls up well and feels good, that'd be good to do to be able to prepare him for senior footy as soon as we can."
