First Nations group 3% will light up Marn Grook at the SCG on Friday night, playing at the Sydney Swans blockbuster match against Carlton.
Marn Grook at the SCG, as part of Sir Doug Nicholls Round, is the club's annual celebration of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who have contributed to the game and community and the performance by 3% will add to the celebrations on the night.
3% is made up of Dallas Woods, Angus Field and Nooky who came together in 2022. The soaring vocals of Field and the rap and MC song writing talents of Woods and Nooky are set to entertain fans on Friday evening for the trio's first performance at the SCG.
All three group members are very proud First Nations artists and their group name is a nod to their people who make up just 3% of the Australian population.
“3% is that connection we can all have regardless of how different our tribes and countries are,” 3% said.
"To perform at Sir Doug Nicholls Round is a privilege especially when we come together celebrating the contribution First Nation footballers have given the game over many years.
"From Adam Goodes winning Brownlow Medals and taking a stand, Micky O turning a game on its head and watching Buddy Franklin slot his 1000th goal, the SCG will be lit up with blak magic again... 3% will see you mob soon!"
