Will Hayward to play 150th game

Will Hayward is set to play his 150th career game in Round 14 when the Swans play the Crows on Adelaide Oval. It's a fitting backdrop with the 25-year-old returning home to South Australia for the milestone.

Hayward was recruited to Sydney with pick 21 of the 2016 Draft and made his immediate AFL debut the following season.

The fan favourite re-signed with the club this month, extending his contract for another five years. He knocked back several offers from rival clubs to remain with the Swans until at least the end of 2029.

Longmire's 200th AFL win

John Longmire has become the 17th coach in AFL history to post 200 AFL wins, and just the sixth to do so at one club.

The milestone arrived on Sunday after a triumphant victory over the Geelong Cats on the SCG. The Swans conceded the first six goals against Geelong then went on to win by five goals in front of the fourth biggest SCG crowd in history.

Longmire: “Our younger players have been challenged many times and have been able to steady."

Senior coach John Longmire appeared in a weekly press conference ahead of Round 14. Discussing the season so far, he said:

“What I'm confident is, the longer the season goes, we're just going to keep learning, keep improving. Our younger players have been challenged many times and have been able to steady and come back, and that's been really pleasing."
