The Sydney Swans VFL side will travel to Melbourne this weekend where they'll face the Footscray Bulldogs. Head coach Damian Truslove has confirmed his team with Corey Warner set to return.
The 20-year-old will see a welcomed return to the team after sustaining an ankle sprain in Round 5 of the competition. The medium forward joins a host of AFL listed athletes in the side - much needed with the Dogs sitting first on the ladder.
Joel Hamling will be one to watch this week after the defender-turned-forward kicked five goals against Geelong last weekend. Ben Edwards will also appear again after a dominant display in the midfield, with a game high 30 disposals and seven clearances.
Meanwhile, mid-season draftee Tom Hanily will play his second game in the red and white after finishing with 12 disposals on debut.
The Swans fell to Geelong by just nine points on the SCG, proving to be a close contender to the top four teams. Truslove said he was proud of the team's character which is expected to be a feature again in this Saturday's game.
“There was a lot of character shown there, which is a real positive,” Truslove told Sydney Swans Media.
“We adjusted a few things at half-time. The boys bought into the message and stuck to the plan again. They gave it everything they had...".
The Swans will play the Footscray Bulldogs at Mission Whitten Oval this Saturday, June 15 from 11:05am.
