Confirmed last month, Chloe Molloy and Lucy McEvoy will again lead the red and white and remain as co-captains. In episode 9 of our podcast, More than Footy, Presented by Bing Lee, Lucy McEvoy emphasised the developed strengths both captains will take into this season.

“I've really enjoyed working alongside Chloe. I've learnt so much from her in the way she goes about it and what I can take from her into my leadership as well has been really beneficial for myself.”

“It’s just continuing to provide each other with those opportunities where we can improve… just really developing together”

With the AFLW season is right around the corner, McEvoy highlighted what Swans fans can look forward to as excitement builds.

“We’re going to be playing some pretty exciting footy. If you’re not a part of it, you’re going to miss out and you’re going to be sorely disappointed.”

The Sydney Swans will open the AFLW season against Collingwood in a Friday night blockbuster at North Sydney Oval on August 30.
