Isaac Heeney will not play against North Melbourne this weekend, after the Sydney Swans’ appeal was dismissed at the AFL Appeals Board tonight.
The original one-match ban for striking St.Kilda’s Jimmy Webster stands.
Isaac Heeney extended a heartfelt thank you for the overwhelming support across the last few days.
"I'm extremely disappointed with that result but I just wanted to give a heartfelt thank you," Heeney said.
"Obviously the show of support from the club here, from the top down being Tom Harley, Horse (Longmire), Leon (Cameron) and our lawyer Duncan, thank you guys very much.
"I also wanted to say thank you so much to the support from the fans, members and the wider community. It's been truly incredible.
"I can guarantee one thing and that's when I'm back I'll make sure I do this club, supporters, and my family proud."
