The Sydney Swans side to face the Brisbane Lions at the Gabba has been named, with Callum Mills, James Rowbottom and Justin McInerney missing for the Round 19 clash.

Senior coach John Longmire has named his side, with Isaac Heeney, Harry Cunningham and Corey Warner named in the final line up.

Longmire confirmed the skipper pulled up a little sore following the North Melbourne victory but expects Mills to be ready to return next week.

"He's [Mills] just pulled up a little bit sore from last week so we decided not to push him too hard this week, but he should be fine and ready to play next week," Longmire said.

"So we'll give him this week off, keep training him, making sure with the build-up to the preparation he's had that it continues tin the upward motion that it has been."

Longmire also confirmed Rowbottom and McInerney as outs.

"He's [Rowbottom] had a knock to the cheekbone so is a little bit too much of a risk for this week, so we'll see how he is for next week," Longmire said.

"McInerney is going well. He's in a brace for two weeks. We're really hopeful that he comes out of that in good nick in a couple of weeks and we'll make an assessment from there."

Despite the Swans position on the ladder, there will be no complacency as Longmire prepares his outfit for a tough challenge at the Gabba.

"There's no question they're the in-form team in the competition," Longmire said.

"They've won a lot of games in a row and they haven't lost many quarters at all. If you look at their record, it's been outstanding.

"Obviously last year's Grand Final team as well so they've got a lot going for them playing on their home deck. It's going to be a tough one but we're really looking forward to the challenge."

Defender Harry Cunningham is set to play his 200th game.
