Isaac Heeney has polled the full 10 coaches votes after Round 22. The star midfielder was instrumental in stealing the win from Collingwood on Friday night with an epic final quarter.
While it was his contested grabs and clutch goal that shifted the momentum in the final minutes, Heeney had a solid outing across the match. He finished the game with 32 disposals, 19 kicks and eight score involvements. The 28-year-old has returned to the top of the leaderboard with 102 total votes for the season.
Chad Warner was recognised for a similarly impressive performance with six coaches votes. The young gun had eight score involvements and kicked two important goals on the run, finishing with a game high 33 disposals.
With three goals to his name Will Hayward earned one coaches vote.

The AFL Coaches Association’s AFL Champion Player Award is an award voted by the 18 coaching panels on a 5,4,3,2,1 basis after each home and away game, acknowledging outstanding effort by an individual player in a season.
Round 23 and 24 voting for the 2024 AFL Coaches Association Champion Player of the Year Award will not be released until the announcement of the winner which will be made at the 2024 AFL Awards, live on Fox Footy from 7.30pm on Thursday 29th August.
