The city of Coffs Harbour has become a second home for the Sydney Swans – it has long been the location of AFL pre-season camps, and more recently AFLW camps, and a regional hub for both our QBE Sydney Swans Academy and ARA First Nations Foundations program.
In exciting news for our regional fans, our AFLW squad will travel to ‘Coffs’ this season for a Round 3 clash with Richmond.
That’s your first reason to visit Coffs Harbour this September. We’ve listed more below.
Reason 1: The AFLW
The Sydney Swans will play Richmond on Saturday, September 14 at C. EX Coffs International Stadium from 12:35pm. Just a short drive from the city centre it’s the perfect Saturday afternoon activity under the September sunshine.
Tickets are just $15 for adults, while juniors (under 18) can attend FREE by redeeming a ticket via Ticketmaster.
Reason 2: Beat the school holiday crowds
The NSW school holidays begin on Monday, September 30. Enjoy the spring weather and avoid the holiday crowds and by joining us to visit Coffs a little earlier.

Reason 3: It’s just a short flight from Sydney or a memorable road trip
From Sydney? Coffs Harbour is a short 75-minute trip from the capital city with flights departing daily with Qantas and Rex. Link Airways operates direct flights between Coffs Harbour and Brisbane six days a week.
If you prefer to drive, it’s just off the Pacific Highway and the perfect destination for a scenic road trip with idyllic stops along the NSW coast.
Reason 4: Something for the whole family
Leave the bustle of the city and experience the natural surrounds, with scenic rainforest walks and tours – all a short drive from the city centre. You’ll also want to discover the pristine beaches that line the Coffs coast, while whale watching, and scuba diving are offered offshore.
Finally, you can’t go past the Big Banana Fun Park. It’s a must visit for small and big kids alike with the largest indoor Giant Slide, a massive water park, toboggan rise, mini golf course and much, much more. Plus, even the Big Banana is cheering the red and the white.
