Sydney prepare for Qualifying Final

After securing the minor premiership in last week's win against the Adelaide Crows, Sydney are preparing for a home qualifying final. The match against the GWS Giants will take place on Saturday, September 7 from 3:20pm. 

Tickets for the 2024 Toyota AFL Finals Series match at the SCG are now exhausted. Should further tickets become available, they will be released via Ticketek on a date to be confirmed.

Four Swans named in All-Australian squad

Nick Blakey, Errol Gulden, Isaac Heeney, and Chad Warner have been rewarded for standout seasons with selection in the 2024 All-Australian squad.

Heeney (2022) and Gulden (2023) each have one All-Australian selection to their name, while Blakey and Warner are yet to feature, although have been named in the 2023 and 2022 squads respectively.

AFLW kicks off THIS FRIDAY

We are opening the 2024 NAB AFLW season this Friday night in a clash with Collingwood at North Sydney Oval. The Round 1 match will kick off a 10-week campaign which will see the women's squad travel to Coffs Harbour, Hobart, Melbourne and Brisbane in pursuit of a second finals series.

By the numbers: Errol Gulden Inside 50s stats

Errol Gulden has obliterated a 100-game AFL statistic according to Peter Blucher. 

The 22-year-old Swans ace has had 479 inside 50’s, a statistic introduced in 1998 which measures the number of times a player sends the ball inside his team’s forward 50m zone, whether by kick, handball or carry.

Despite having played 10 fewer games (90), his three inside 50s against Adelaide on Saturday night took him past the first 100-game record for most inside 50’s held by Brisbane Brownlow Medallist and 300-game champion Simon Black (478).
