Swans prepare for blockbuster Qualifying Final
The Sydney Swans are in the final stages of preparation for Saturday's Qualifying Final where they will face the GWS Giants on the SCG. The winner of the week one clash will progress to the Preliminary Final.
In yesterday's Team Selection, presented by QBE, it was announced that Tom Papley and Justin McInerney would return to the side after spending several weeks sidelined with injury.

Longmire: We understand the responsibility we've got...
Senior coach John Longmire appeared in his weekly press conference ahead of the Qualifying Final and discussed the cross-town rivalry.
"The interest that it generates up here, to have two competitive teams, a big sell-out final this week is great to have, so we're excited by that," Longmire shared.
"We understand the responsibility we've got to the code up here and that's part of it, but also it's just good to play a terrific team, they're a terrific football team."
Cunningham a finalist
In more exciting news for the club Harry Cunningham has been named a finalist for the 2024 Jim Stynes Community Leadership Award for his longstanding work with Redkite.
It’s the third time Cunningham has been named as a finalist for the award, which is presented to the player who has best demonstrated the values of late Melbourne champion and former Demons’ President, Jim Stynes.

Lara Hausegger to debut in AFLW Round 2
Off the back of a Round 1 victory against Collingwood, the Sydney Swans AFLW team will hit the road for the first time this season to face St Kilda in Round 2 at RSEA Park on Sunday.
An extended bench was named on Thursday, with draftee Lara Hausegger set to make her AFLW debut.
The 19-year joined the Sydney Swans this season after being selected with pick 33 in the 2023 AFLW Draft. The defender previously played three games in the VFLW with Collingwood and is a premiership winning captain with the Oakleigh Chargers.
