The 2024 NAB AFLW season is well underway with the Sydney Swans' next stop in Coffs Harbour this weekend, for a Round 3 clash with Richmond.

The city of Coffs Harbour has become a second home for the Sydney Swans – it has long been the location of AFL pre-season camps, and more recently AFLW camps, and a regional hub for both our QBE Sydney Swans Academy and ARA First Nations Foundations program.

Whether you're a Sydney-sider or live in the regions, it's not too late to plan your trip to the Coffs coast.

Getting Here

From Sydney? Coffs Harbour is a short 75-minute trip from the capital city with flights departing daily with Qantas and Rex. Link Airways operates direct flights between Coffs Harbour and Brisbane six days a week.

If you prefer to drive, it’s just off the Pacific Highway and the perfect destination for a scenic road trip with idyllic stops along the NSW coast.

Itinerary - Saturday

A few spare hours ahead of our game?

Our AFLW match against Richmond kicks off from 12:35pm with gates opening from 11:00am on Saturday, September 14.

Why not enjoy a slow morning with breakfast before a visiting the Gumgali Tracka 400 metre trail that follows Gumbaynggirr Dreaming story through sculpture, murals, and signage.

We also suggest a stroll along the Northern breakwall at Coffs Harbour International Marina to Muttonbird Island for coastal views. Pack some swimmers for a quick dip and be sure to take a detour along the famous Jetty. 

Cheer cheer on the Sydney Swans 

Head to C. EX Coffs International Stadium from 11:00am to secure a spot on the hill and grab food and drinks before the team run out against Richmond from 12:35pm. 

Join as an AFLW Coffs Member to receive a Grandstand ticket, a member pack, AND access to all remaining Sydney Swans AFLW home and away matches. All for just $65 for adults or $28 for juniors. Support the team here.

AFLW quarters run for 17 minutes with time on for stoppages meaning the whole match takes about two hours. It's set to be a comfortable 20 degrees on Saturday so bring a picnic blanket and a hat. 

Feeling competitive?

If you're feeling inspired to take on your own team of family and friends, head to the Big Banana Fun Park for a huge range of activities for the rest of the afternoon. Think, Ice Skating, Tobogganing, Laser Tag, Mini Golf, Reptile World, Giant Slides, Escape Rooms and Candy Kitchen.

The attraction closes at 4:30pm daily.

Itinerary - Sunday

If you were lucky enough to spend the night in Coffs Harbour, there is plenty to fill your Sunday. Learn to surf with Solitary Islands Surf School, head to the Harbourside Markets - only available on Sunday mornings - or if you're looking for even more adventure visit the Jetty Dive Centre with charters from snorkelers and scuba divers.
