Tanya, a loss but not without some really great takeaways. Talk to me about the first quarter against North Melbourne - we were right in it!

It was a great first quarter wasn’t it?! We haven’t started well in the last few games so it was great to rectify this. The girls came out with a plan and were really keen to take it up against the best in the competition.

Despite the result the team showed a lot of fight. What was the message at the breaks?

I think the girls have shown that no matter the scoreline in a game that they will always fight which is a great brand to build as a team. We kept messaging the plan we went in with and the girls stuck to that message all throughout.

We have just three games left of the home and away season. What challenges do you come across this late in the season?

Like any team, you get to this point in the season and fatigue can become a real factor. Make no mistake that the girls will continue to showcase their talent and play a style that gives us a chance to win every week and do our fans proud.

We face the Gold Coast Suns this week. What have you made of their season?

Gold Coast have been building over the last few weeks and had a great game against the Brisbane Lions last weekend. We expect a hard fought game on the weekend.

Back at Henson Park this Saturday. What do you hope to see from the team?

We love playing at Henson in front of our fans so we should look forward to seeing us display our run and carry game that is exciting for everyone to watch!
